As part of our ongoing journey to provide equal access to high quality, contemporary music and arts education, we have partnered with Connecting Waters of the East Bay Charter School to provide lessons on their new resource center located in Union City.
We also received the warm welcome of Impact Academy of Arts and Technology in Hayward for having our Dance, Acapella, and Rock Band as part of their after school program.
We are so excited to feature our every growing musical community, teaching artists and our student's hard work in our Spring Concert. The Spring Concert is scheduled for Thursday, May 17th at the Marina Community Center, Titan Auditorium.

PROFICIENCY AND PERFORMANCE
An invaluable part of any music student's studies is periodic evaluation of his or her progress. In addition to the feedback students regularly
receive from their teachers, it is important that they get input and suggestions from other music professionals as well. For this purpose, Dandan Performing Arts Center holds proficiency evaluation every semester.
The brief performances replace regular lessons during the performance weeks and provide students with commentary from multiple instructors on their accomplishments. Proficiency evaluation and performance are required of all school-aged students taking private lessons in instruments or voice. While adult students are not required to perform a
proficiency evaluation, they are encouraged to do so, as it is included in each semester's tuition, and they are as beneficial to adult students as they are to children.
The center will be observing President's Day, February 19, 2018. All Immersion classes and private instructions will be rescheduled by the teachers.
Please be advised that the 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm Rock Band classes will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2018.
